181 Queen Street East
Wednesday - Saturday noon - 6:00pm or by appointment email@example.com
Phoebenewyork is the beloved alter ego of street artist Libby Schoettle. Phoebe’s dark and funny explorations into love and life reveal Libby’s own vulnerability, raw emotions, and witty observations.
Phoebe is making an impression on streets across New York City, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Sydney, Barcelona and beyond. Libby was recently named one of the ten rising street artists who are taking the art form beyond Banksy by artnetNews. The artist and her artwork have been featured in publications such as Teen Vogue, Glamour Italia, Glamour Espana, Teeth, Citizen Brooklyn, and IL Fotografo and New York Magazine's The Cut.
Phoebe-on-the-street is unique and feminine; she provides a fresh voice to those looking for or accidentally stumbling across her art.
Phoebe is thrilled to be making the journey to Toronto for her first ever solo show in Canada. Come visit Phoebe at pop-up Gallery 181 inside the studio of Danielle Nicholas Bryk (of HGTV) starting March 1st.
“I fell in love with Phoebe when I spotted her a few years ago in New York City. She strikes such a powerful chord with a wide variety of people. She is at times political, at times empowered, at times broken-hearted and always endearing as she experiences the complexities of being a modern woman. I am beyond excited to have a part in spreading the Phoebe love.”
